We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Accounting team in London. The successful candidate will have experience with financial reporting and internal controls. This position will be responsible for the controllership and accounting function in support of the UK operations, with involvement from multiple stakeholders across different locations. The candidate will also lead cross-border projects and develop best practices in processes and controllership on an international level. Additionally, the candidate will implement policies with the financial leadership team based out of worldwide Amazon locations.


The ideal candidate will have held supervisory or management positions in companies with less than one billion in annual revenues, have worked for a big four public accounting firm at the manager level with Fortune 500 clients or equivalent, or have worked in a large public company as a manager. The role involves various operational and project-based new business accounting responsibilities, including financial statement reviews, preparing various deliverables to support internal and external financial reporting needs, leading month-end close activities, and engaging with stakeholders across the business.



Basic qualifications for the role include a BA/BS degree, relevant accounting experience, exposure to operational accounting concepts, and demonstrated ability in participating in milestone-driven projects. The ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, solid organizational and project management skills, and information technology aptitude.


We are seeking experienced, talented finance or accounting professionals who are passionate and excited about accounting and reporting and have experience with the details of a monthly close cycle, periodic financial reporting, and related analytical analysis. We value individuals who have a strong desire to exceed expectations, persuasive communication skills, and an ability to assess and manage risk while seeing and understanding the big picture. Preferred qualifications for the role include working in a fast-paced company similar to a high-tech start-up, having excellent analytical skills, and exposure to researching accounting conclusions and documenting support for conclusions reached.
